Gama Glória joins Católica for the Mentorship Program's 2026 cycle.
Earlier this month, the Gama Glória team took part in the opening session of the Católica Law School mentorship program, joining students and organizers for the start of another mentoring cycle. The session marked the beginning of new mentor–mentee pairings — and, for some of us, a moment to reflect on last year’s experience and what mentorship can make possible.
Mentorship creates space for conversation about the legal profession – the good, the bad, and the ugly - and about the many different paths a legal career can take. For mentors and mentees alike, the value lies in continuity and exchange, and the cultivation of relationships of trust.
Rita Carvalho Nunes was mentor to Matilde Pinto last year, and the pair were invited to speak at this opening session, to share their stories of the experience; Rita will mentor Beatriz Quintas throughout the next cycle. Maria de Lencastre Valente will act as mentor for Lourenço Camacho Gonçalves, and Sofia Lixa will act as mentor for Maria Margarida Guerra.

No início deste mês, a equipa da Gama Glória participou na sessão de abertura do programa de mentoria da Faculdade de Direito da Católica, juntando-se a estudantes e organizadores para o arranque de mais um ciclo de mentoria. A sessão marcou o início de novas duplas mentor–mentorado — e, para alguns de nós, foi também um momento de reflexão sobre a experiência do ano passado e sobre aquilo que a mentoria pode tornar possível.
A mentoria cria espaço para conversas sobre a profissão jurídica — o bom e o mau — e sobre os muitos caminhos diferentes que uma carreira no Direito pode seguir. Para mentores e mentorandos, o valor está na continuidade, na troca e na construção de relações de confiança.
No ano passado, Rita Carvalho Nunes foi mentora de Matilde Pinto, tendo ambas sido convidadas a intervir nesta sessão de abertura para partilharem a sua experiência; neste novo ciclo, a Rita acompanhará Beatriz Quintas. Maria de Lancastre Valente será mentora de Lourenço Camacho Gonçalves, e Sofia Lixa será mentora de Maria Margarida Guerra.
